Pioneer of New Energy Heavy Trucks: CAMC Leads the Charge After a Decade of Innovation

        CAMC stands as one of China’s earliest heavy-duty truck exporters and was the first to venture into exporting new energy trucks. Over the past decade,the company has continually enhanced its product portfolio, improved after-sales service, and strengthened logistics support.         In 2021, CAMC entered the South American market and delivered its first batch of electric heavy-duty trucks in 2022,including both battery-swapping and fully electric models such as tractors and dump truck chassis. The products were shipped overseas and received high praise, demonstrating the global appeal of CAMC trucks in international markets and opening new pathway for the Chinese electric trucks export.

In Southeast Asia, CAMC has once again proven to be a front-runner in the electric heavy-duty trucks industry, shown by responding precisely to local market demands, the company achieved a 40% year-on-year growth in overseas sales in 2023, with Southeast Asia being the main contributor. In May 2025, CAMC signed a major deal to deliver 130 customized electric dump trucks to a Southeast Asian client. This milestone not only showcases CAMC’s strong brand recognition in the region but also highlights its capacity for rapid,tailor-made production at scale.

        CAMC has also placed strategic focus on methanol-hydrogen hybrid  trucks, which represent a key pillar in its innovation. In 2024, a delegation of Southeast Asian clients visited CAMC’s manufacturing facilities to inspect and test-drive these advanced vehicles. The truck’s unique technology and performance left a lasting impression, winning both attention and trust. With proactive engagement and customer-centric development, CAMC is confident that its methanol-hydrogen trucks—positioned as a core commercial offering—will soon enter more international markets, accelerating the global transition to clean energy.                                      

        While the global traditional truck market declined by approximately 6% in 2024. However, new energy heavy trucks continued to rise, reaching over 20% in December alone. The new energy truck market is expected to continue expanding in 2025.As an experienced truck manufacturer, CAMC began exporting to overseas markets as early as 2005 and was among the first to be recognized as a “National Vehicle Export Base Enterprise.” In recent years, CAMC has focused on the development, production, and export of new energy trucks, continuously innovating and prioritizing both market trends and meeting customer needs.
